There are countless stories from times past sharing the persecution of those who outwardly believed what they believed. Regardless of the religion or conviction, individuals have been targets of persecution on different levels since creation.

The culture of humanity is very judgemental and quick to show hatred and intolerance towards anything deemed unacceptable by those who are in disagreement. Race, economic status, education, lifestyle choices, and any other category is not off limits for prejudicial persecution.

As a believer in Yeshua, the scriptures reveals persecution is to be expected and should not be caught by surprise. Persecution comes in many different ways and levels of severity. Believers should not deliberately antagonize those in disagreement and be compliant without compromising the core values of their faith.

Persecution is meant by the oppressors to silence but in reality, it raises the spiritual voice to be heard louder. Being able to testify about the sacrifices made because of the strong, unwavering Faith in Yeshua is an honor and can impact others to follow the teachings and make disciples of others.

Stand firm on the foundation faith is resting on. Be watchful as the level of resentment rises and pray for the strength to endure. You have a testimony waiting for you.

Luke 21:12-14 New King James Version (NKJV)

12 But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons. You will be brought before kings and rulers for My name’s sake. 13 But it will turn out for you as an occasion for testimony.
